This one has been hitting around all the major news sites. There’s now a petition on behalf of fans of Superman and Superman Returns to get the film released on DVD/Blu-Ray in it’s original entirety. Contrary to some movie, this was not due to conflict between the director’s vision and the studio, the current release IS Bryan Singer’s vision. Now, most of you probably know that the biggest scene to get cut was the return to Krypton scene that was set to open the movie. There’s also many more smaller scenes that have been cut from the film which had some more character moment. I know personally i’ve noticed one particular shot missing from the movie which was in the teaser trailer. It was a close-up shot with a shadowy Superman, raising his head in slow-motion, revealing his iconic “S” curl. There’s been a site put online that has the re-cut trailer with the added footage and a list of what bonus features we’d like to see on this release. Please do yourselves a favor, even if your not necessarily a Superman Returns fan, as a movie fan in general, take a moment to sign the petition. Wow, I was not expecting this, according to the (believe it or not)Pizza Hut promotional tie-in website, ‘Terminator Salvation’ is rated PG-13.
