Nov 24th Releases

Posted by Bogdan On November - 25 - 2009

This week just seems to be full-on comedy releases except for one. Angels & Demons, Ron Howard’s follow up to the very enjoyable The Da Vinci Code. This one is much more action packed and it’s a definite rental for those of you heading out to Blockbusters or planning to watch something on Netflix. Four Christmases is another releases i’m actually curious to see since hearing so much bad hype coming from the on-set feuds between Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. The other comedy this week is Judd Apatow’s third directorial outing, Funny People staring the hilarious combination of Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. The last “big” title this week, in the form of kid friendly Robert Rodriguez, we have a movie called Shorts. For more, you can click on either DVD or Blu-Ray and you will be taken to their proper Amazon pages. There you can find info on the disc content and the bonus features available for the various films. As always, browse through their site for other various releases on home video not listed below.

Silver Surfer spin-off?

Posted by Vic On November - 25 - 2009

Back when Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer came out we heard lots of talk of a possible Silver Surfer spin off. It looked like this project was getting off the ground when comic and T.V. scribe J. Michael Straczynski was brought on to write the script. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) after Fox saw the returns and negative response of the sequel, they canned the project. Straczynski’s script was to apparently follow the events of that film. When Straczynski was asked by Collider to give an update he responded,“What happened was when FF2 didn’t do as well as they hoped it would do, it caused them to call into question a Silver Surfer movie. The script that I wrote picked up right where FF2 left off. So if they do a Silver Surfer film down the road, it’ll have to be its own separate things.”

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Silver Surfer spin off. To make it successful though I agree with Fox and think they need to do a reboot and ignore what came before. I’m also onboard with that rumored Fantastic Four reboot that was mentioned a few months back. My biggest problem with those movies was Jessica Alba. I mean don’t get me wrong she’s great to look at, but she can’t act her way out of a paper bag.

Brand New Iron Man 2 Photo

Posted by Vic On November - 25 - 2009

I always try and pick up Empire magazine when ever I see it. It’s a UK mag, so you don’t see it very often. They always seem to get the scoop on the most badass (no other way to put it really) photos coming out of the film word. The interviews are always enlightening and the news always fresh.

Well enough free promotion, lets get to the news story! Empire has scored a new Iron Man 2 image as it’s cover. Take a look below!
