Some updates on ‘Iron Man 2′ from both Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau.
Robert Downey Jr. spoke to splash about the fan favorite ‘Demon in a Bottle’ which deals with Tony Stark A.K.A. Iron Man’s alcoholism.
“I think [Demon in a Bottle is] probably best saved, because it’s such its own storyline,” Downey told MTV. “We’re going for the interim space [between the origin and Demon], which is more a look behind the mask of someone who says he’s Iron Man and what it really is to become a superhero.”
At least there not ruling it out, personally I agree it’s best to develop the characters a bit more before tackling Demon.
On his twitter director Jon Favreau stated that filming for ‘Iron Man 2′, which is set to hit North American theaters on May 7th of 2010, will begin on Monday!

I agree that it’s nice to tackle the characters, develop him more, then get into more issues, but I guess ideally you would like to see it all. Funny how the character fits him the way Rourke’s fit him in the Wrestler.
