Kevin Williamson signs for ‘Scream’ trilogy?

Posted by Travis On February - 24 - 2009

We know ‘Scream 4′ is going foreword; Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that, and yes Kevin Williamson the writer of the first two ‘Scream’ films is writing it!

From Bloody Disgusting:

When asked if he is involved at all in the new film’s tory, he explained, “I don’t know his ideas at all. But they have made a deal with Kevin [Williamson] to write.”

In our exclusive story, we reported that Williamson’s script will be a younger version of the SCREAM movies and that offers were made to David Arquette, Courtney Cox Arquette and Neve Campbell to play cameos.

Some more interesting news popped up over at Ropes of Silicon which states that Kevin Williamson has signed for not just one new ‘Scream’ film but 3! ROS even says that they have no way of confirming the legitimacy of this however it’s pretty cool to speculate about.

I do not want to see these, I have what I think should be the story line for the last and final Scream movie to close things out, but if they go on with another trilogy that is just pathetic. The second two sucked, why would these be any diff unless they completely do something else with it.

If they actually go ahead with these, they better make it solid because th original trilogy didn’t age well.
