Last week I heard a rumor about a possible Unbreakable sequel of corse I dismissed it as rumor and urban legend. However after reading this I’m not so sure. It’s not like it’s in production but at least there is a slight possibility and that’s exciting news!

Unbreakable was original intended to be a trilogy (I once read that the three films were going to be called ‘Unbreakable’, ‘Unbeatable’ and ‘Unstoppable’ however I don’t know if that’s true). And you can tell at the end of Unbreakable that it would make a lot of since to have a sequel.
Samuel L. Jackson, from the same article on the possibility of a sequel;
“Back then we talked about what the rest would entail,” recalled Jackson. “I broke out of the mental institution. I’m out there doing stuff and ["Unbreakable" co-star Bruce Willis' "David Dunn" is] after me. It’s very cool. He still wears that rain thing, that windbreaker.”
‘Unbreakable’ is one of my favorite Shyamalan films, while I think ‘The Sixth Since’ may be my favorite as far as first time viewings go, I could watch ‘Unbreakable’ over and over again. And while it was not as popular as any of his other films; I also really, really liked ‘The Village’ as well.
